Few weeks ago, we passed by a fish shop.
My son was so excited that he kept shouting:
"mini-mo, mini-mo......" (meaning nemo) and refused to go home.
So I said to him, "Hey! If you are a good boy, I will buy the fish and bring home!"
Then he really obediently followed us home.
2 weeks later, I kept my promise.
I bought 2 fishes, a fish tank, fish net, fish food, marbles to set up up this simple aquarium for him. Very cheap only, only cost me less than$15 altogether!
Happily we decided to rear the fish well at home.
But my naughty little boy kept teasing the fishes from then on..... Whenever he reach home, he will say: "Beat the fish..... beat the fish!".
Then he run to the fish tank and hit the tank to see the fishes jump.
Afterwhich, he will follow by a cheeking grin on his little round face.
hee.... hee..... heee........
Of course we gotta correct him.
So we asked him, "Why you need to beat the fish? The fish is so adorable!"
Then the funny little boy immediately reacted by a giving a "muak" (kiss) to the fishes......
And we thought he will never do it again but we are wrong.
He still continues to "beat the fish" on the following day and the story repeats again.......
Aiyoh! Really dunno whether to laugh or to cry man........
However, I observed that although he kept "beating the fish",
he still loves them coz every night, he will help to remind the maid to feed the fishes by pointing at the fishes and say "mum mum, mum mum......", only stops after the maid feeds them.
Hmm.....Maybe he is afraid that the fishes will die of hunger and he will have no fishes to "beat" liao.....kekekeke.......
This is my little devil at home.....
