Yesterday, I reached Vivo City GV for the Charity Movie preview at about 5.45pm.Our listeners watched the movie “Teenage Mutan Ninja Turtles” with the beneficiaries of 972 this year adopted charity “Society for the Physically Disabled, SPD” “体障人士协会”.
I am so happy to meet a lot of our listeners including Serene, the one who called me during my program and said she last saw me at Feng Fei Fei Concert, and she is so excited to win the movie tickets so that she can see me again. When she saw me, she said : wow, you maintain very well leh, never change at all after marriage and giving birth leh!! Kekekeke…… she really made my day man!!..... maybe it is charity day, so 日行一善…… hahahaha….
I called back 972 and reported on the event at 6pm and 6.15pm and above is the young chap I interviewed. He is one of the beneficiaries of SPD. His name is威强, 21 years old. SPD has helped him by giving him bursaries for his studies and providing funds for his wheelchair. Glad to know a number of them!! J Together we can help those who are less fortunate, those with physically disablies to have more hope and a better tomorrow.

This is the nice white outfit i intended to wear for the preview when i was supposed to do a welcome opening, but in the end need to wear station t-shirt. Luckily, the white pants still can match very well with my 972 Station Tee.... :)Then in the end, no need to do opening coz the cinema got no mics! Kekekeke.....
Actually, I like this pants very much becoz there is a flap from the waist pulled over the pants acting like a miniskirt/scarf wrap around my hip (which is my usual style).
Rose Tan (VP of 938 and Symphony) and Zakiah (VP of Malay and Indian Stations) liked it as well.

Is it possible for you to share some info about what confinement food should be given to mother who had gestational diabetes during pregnancy? If the mother also gone through c-sec to deliver her baby, what are the things to be aware of and what confinement food to take during confinement months?
My EDD is this May. Got GD and might be going for C-sec due to low lying placenta.

Like to find out what are the food to avoid if breastfeeding baby. Some says should not take ginger before the feed, some says cannot take DOM, cannot this cannot that, as will go into the baby during breastfeeding. Harmful to baby. Can cover some topic on this aspect? One more question, if cannot take DOM then what about Hong Cao Jiu, can take or cannot?

I eat quite a lot of crabs & durians during my pregnancy. My main dishes is always fish. My bb was 3.38kgs when she's born, her limbs r rather active now. But I think it's ok lar. Kids grow up faster & healthier when they're active. I drank 2 glasses of milk a day, those meant for pregnant women. Even now am still drinking those for b/feeding as am still b/feeding.
My bb's healthy & as the 2nd months her neck was very stable and she doesn't like to be carried in the cradle form, she likes to be carried like a big baby wif her head near my shoulder. My mom was surprised that my bb's neck could be so steady at the 2nd month. I guess folic acid is the main reason.
I've started taking folic acid once I was married cos I heard from frenz I cud take it like kind of vitamins & it will be helpful when am pregnant. Wonder if this helps in the bone structure of my bb..

Jus happen to see your inquiry about b/feeding..
Here's my personal experience...
I'm still b/feeding my bb & I eat practically everything... even during my confinment, I eat all the dishes cook with ginger (but I dun eat the ginger) According to my eastshore nursing nurse, she said we can eat anything as long the bb doesn't show signs. For eg. my galfrd drank so much of 猪肚汤 wif lots of pepper, next day her bb doesn't want her milk cos she kept sticking her tongues out! (too spicy! hahaha)
DOM is safe too (after bb's 1mth old)
Just observe your bb carefully every feed. Unless there's rashes or tell tale sign, basically u can eat anything.. But would advise to refrain from soft drinks & cold water..Anw, it's bad for bb as well as mother.. I took a sip of Sprite only, next day my bb has mild cough!

Eating crabs will cause a child "many hands, many legs" is absurb and not logical too.
I ate crabs during my pregnancy too, but my boy was very tame after birth. He eat and sleep well and wont anyhow grab things also. My mum always comment she dun mind to look after 10 babies like him then look after one active and mischevious baby. Only that its not good for both mother and baby if over consumed.

Treating oversalted soup:
1) Peel and half 1 or 2 potatoes, add to soup to boil for a while, the potato will absorbed excess salt.
2) Put some plain flour into a cloth bag, tie it up and drop into the soup to boil

How to treat shoes that bites:
Traditional believe:
1) After puchasing the new shoe, bites the shoe first b4 wearing.
2）Use onion to rub where it bites
3) Use candle wax to rub where it hurts to smoothen the area (provided by Doreen)

拿一条干毛巾，浸一些白酒，然后擦咬脚的地方，不停的揉，使之软化，就不会咬脚了。
Use a dry towel, soak some white wine, rub on the surface where the shoes bites, keep rubbing till it soften the area, then it wouldn't bite

when the ondeh ondeh is put into the boiling water, it will sink initially. Then it will start to flost over a short period. Allow it to float while continue boiling for about 5 to 10 min and they will be cook liao...
