Easy Link to "My Recipes - 我的厨房笔记"简易联线

Hi folks,
Really like to thank all of you for your support in my programme "厨房笔记".
So happy to hear you calling-in telling me how the recipes turn out to be.
Also, special thanks to those who have left your comments here so that at least we know that our efforts are not wasted.... :)

However, a lot of listeners still don't know how to get themselves link to my recipes blog.
It used to be on the right hand side, but it seems like bloggers gotta search for some time or simply cannot find as it is not very obvious.
To make it more significant and easier to link, Auntie Irene and i have asked our friend Mark, the "IT expert", to help us to re-design this blog.

Now, you just have to click "我的厨房笔记" banner on top and you will be able to go to my recipes blog!!!
Yeh!!!.... Many thanks to Mark!!! Long lived, long lived, long long lived...... kekekeke....That's what friends are for, a friend in need is a friend indeed....

1-5, for 管家有话说 contents, i really hope that you can listen to my program lah... coz it will be quite time consuming to post everything in my blog. To be frank, i din even have time to reply your comments, only got time to read your messages and i m already very paiseh liao ;P

For my recipes, it's Auntie Irene who helps me to manage this part, that's why we can get such a regular update.

Also, if everything all post on blog, then next time no one tune in to my program how??? kekekeke.....

As for anonymous, i was about to tell you the date is on top, then you realised yourself liao. Maybe the colour is not obvious enough, that's why you din notice it. Maybe next time we should ask Mark or Richard to highlight it to make it more significant lah.... cheers!!

Dear Violet,

I appreciate that you wanted us to try various types of Pineapple tarts, but I think that you should teach us only 1 type so that we could learn more other recipe rather than learning about pineapple tarts for the whole week.

Thank you for the recipes.

Need only one of the recipes but have to print out all the 11 pages.

If possible allow us to print by names like waffles, steamed radish cake, pineapple tarts, etc in future.

Printing just only one recipe is by using your mouse to highlight only that recipe, then right click the mouse and select print, remember to tick print "selection" only. Then u won't be printing all the recipe again and again.

Hi Fenying,

According to the recipe for Pineapple tarts, it says that we need to set aside the dough to rest for 20 mins. Do we need to place the dough in the refrigerator to chill while resting? Thank you.

I tried the pineapple tarts last saturday and it taste a little salty, can I don't add the salt? And the shape is a little diffcult as the shape turns out to be of different size and it is not as nice as Irene's pic, so sad./

fenying, I don't think it is the handphone that is causing the tranmitting of lightning. It is just a coincidence that she was using the hp when the ligtning strike. The umbrella should play a bigger part as it act as a receiver receive the lightning.

Hi Fenying,

I am breastfeeding my baby now but will be returning to work this Thursday. My baby is about 4 months old. When I return to work, how much breastmilk(expressed and feed using bottle)should be given to her in each feed and at what time interval between feeds? How do I know that she will be having enough? I now breastfeed her on demand which is every 3 to 3.5 hourly on average. Hope you can help me find the answer today or tomorrow. Thank you very much.

I heard from the radio that we can use "Jiu Jing" to remove dirt from the rubber of the refrigerator door. I wonder whether this "Jiu Jin" is referring to "thinner".

I find that it is good that you tell us the ingredients on 1 day and the next day then you tell us the method, but it will be better if you could post it on the blog on the day that you tell us the ingredients so that when you explain the method, we will be able to undestand it better.

Can we use normal sugar instead of icing sugar? And I am afraid that the cornflakes will be burnt if we put on top, so can I mix it together with the flour instead?

Can you teach us how to prepare "Yu Sheng" as it's a must for Chinese new year cos everyting I shredded the carrots, it turns out to be watery and what type of fish is used for "Yu Sheng"? And how to prepare it so that it does not have a fishy smell.

Carol, after shredded the carrots, you must put them in a white cloth and squeese out the juice. Then it won't be watery.

This year, I am also preparing my own yusheng but I use abalone i/o raw fish because I afraid I cannot handle the raw fish well and cuase stomach upset to the family members. You can use salmon fish.

One more thing to share, I bought all the ingredients and sauces from the Chinatown market, so all I need is shred the carrots.

Hihi Violet,

Some kuih bangkits when you eat it, you will feel (somehow) on the tougue that there is a warm sensation (haha...as if there's some exothermic energy within the cookie). I'm really curious. Can you or Irene be able to tell me what is the technique to make the taste of kuih bandkit have this kinda "feel"?

Hi Violet, please help me...
My baby does not like to drink water and few slips in his mouth only. What shall I do? At caregiver house, she has this diamond purifier water and is there any sight effect if intake too much of that?

Next, my 2 years old boy recently reject to take porridge, but likes fried rice, chicken rice with nice fragrant. He always like to ask for milk is this healthy for him to replace his normal meal?

1) do you know how to go to the recipe page?

2)if yes, you may use your mouse pointer, go to the begining of the recipe you want to print.

3) Left click and hold on the mouse, then drag the entire recipe you wanted to print until the end of the recipe and release the left click on the mouse. Noticed that it is highlighted as you drag the mouse?

4) if yes, move the mouse pointer to the highlighted area. This time, right click once and select 'Copy' from the menu that has pop out.

5) then open MS Word.

6) select paste from the MS word, and whatever you highlighted will appear in the Words program.

7) you may print it from there liao.

My Mon have 2 question for U... Can u pls help on this...

1) My mon jus bought some bath towel but the towel don't really absorb water. Do u have any ideal on have to go abt so that the towel will be more absorbent when use.

2) My mon have a "brand new oven" that she has not used before since purchase abt 2yr ago but now when she trys to use it, the oven cannot work.
Once she tries to used it, within a min the house have a short circuit & the whole house was out of electricity...
So are we able to fix it on our own or we will have to discard the oven. But my mom seen abt "Bu Ser De" to throw it away as she mention that its a new oven.

Pls see if u are able to help us solve this problem...
