Comment on reading your child's diary. Communication is not so easy when the children think that parents don't understand. That is why children do not want parents to read their diary. If you wait until they are willing to talk to you, then the relationship between parent and children has already broken. So it has to be both ways, read and talk to them.

According to the traditional chinese, we shld wrap the child up when he/she has a fever; tat's wat my mother says, too.
But when I brought my son, who had a high fever of 39.8C, to the hospital, they bathed him in ice water. He is three years old.
May I know which method is right?
Which method shld I adopt if my children are ill?

It is not true that that if the child is teething, he will have diahorra and fever. It all depend on the health of the child, some child still normal when they are teething. All are v individual.

Addy's advice for hair care:
1) If u have oily scalp, ur hair tends to drop more. So inorder to control hair drop pblm, must wash hair more often
2) If ur daily hair drop is more than 100 strands, BEWARE! This is not normal.
3) For changing of hair parting side - after washing hair, change the parting and use hair gel to keep it in position, after 2 weeks, the parting will be change naturally
4) Don't pluck your white hair. The old wives tales of plucking 1 strand will grow 3 strands of white hair is quite true. Therefore, the only solution is to dye, otherwise cut it off.
5) For babies who did not shave their heads bald at 1 to 4 mths old, need not worry that
the hair is thin. Becos, as long as the correct shampoo is used, proper nutrition is provided
during growing stages, babies hair will naturally grow more and thick. This also applies for adults.
6) To prevent entangling hair, during shampoo, must not anyhow scratch. Apply conditioner
evenly after shampoo will helps to distangle hair locks.
7) Don't not use 2 in 1 shampoo becos during shampoo, the hair follicles would open up, if use
2 in 1 shampoo, may cause more problem in the long run
8) For people with natural hair curls - digital spa perm is most suitable becos it makes the natural curls looks softer and more lively, also, when new hair grows out, it blend into the perm and this perm would last longer for natural hair curls people

First aid for minor injury/cuts
Listeners:
1) Must control bleeding first for minor cuts
2) For minor burns, apply oilments or aloe vera gel
传家/管家：
1) Wash the cut/burn area clean, apply some antiseptic lotion/creams, cover with plaster to prevent wound from futher infection. Keep wound area dry and change dressings regularly.
Take food high in protein like eggs, lean meat, take more vitamins C foods like fruits and vegetables to helps heal wound faster
2) For minor sprain, do not continue exercise, do not massage or rub immediately becos would cause blue black (皮下淤血) to become even more serious and more swelling. Only use cold rub (ice pad) or cold soak after some rest. Use hot pad/rub only when blue black subsided.

Good to know that i look younger and slimmer.
When i came back from maternity, i was very fat. Luckily, i managed to get back to my normal size now. In fact, my appretite is better than before. Maybe due to workload from work and family, plus the good work of Expressions, which i endorsed last year.....that's y i managed to slim down.:)

Oh, my son has fever up and down, and also cough for long time last week.
I tried Bryan laoshi acupressure for kids using lavendula and vicks. I was amazed that my son now ok.
